Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about our Montessori approach and admissions

We serve children from 1 to 6 years old, with a Toddler Program (1–3) and an Early Childhood / Primary Program (3–6).

The Montessori Method was developed in the early 1900s by Dr. Maria Montessori, the first female physician in Italy. Through careful observation of children, she created a method based on a “prepared environment” and hands-on materials that support each child’s natural development.

In Montessori classrooms, children:

  • Learn through all five senses, not just listening or memorizing.
  • Work at their own pace, choosing activities that match their interests and readiness.
  • Are part of multi-age groups, where older children naturally help younger ones.

This fosters independence, concentration, responsibility, and a genuine love of learning.

Studies have shown that Montessori children are well-prepared academically, socially, and emotionally. They tend to show strong skills in following directions, completing work on time, asking thoughtful questions, taking responsibility, and adapting to new situations.

Yes. At home, parents can support Montessori by:

  • Encouraging independence (“Help me do it by myself”).
  • Involving children in daily life (cooking, cleaning, organizing).
  • Creating child-friendly spaces where they can reach and choose materials safely.

At school, however, only trained Montessori teachers work with the full range of Montessori materials.

There are several Montessori organizations around the world. In the United States, two of the most recognized are:

  • Association Montessori Internationale (AMI / AMI-USA)
  • American Montessori Society (AMS)

Families are always welcome to ask about our affiliations, teacher training, and curriculum.

Montessori teachers receive specialized training in:

  • Child development and sensitive periods
  • Use of Montessori materials in each area of the classroom
  • Observation and individualized lesson planning

Most Montessori training centers require a bachelor’s degree and a rigorous certification process.

Parent Handbook

Our Parent Handbook provides detailed information about school policies, daily routines, health and safety procedures, communication with families, and expectations for students and parents. We encourage all families to read the handbook carefully before the school year begins.
